OMG! I am eating my own words again and again and again. LOL!!! I really DO want to do something about this damn site. I need to revamp it BIG time!! And stay focused! YES!! FOCUSED!!! That is the key!! Or maybe I just need someone to smack me every once a week so that I would update. Hahahah!! Short update as I need to go pack!!! Why pack, you ask?? Cause we’re going to GreeeeeeeeeeeeCeeeee on Saturday!! Its a really short trip though! :( I wish we could go away for one whole week!!! But nevermind!! Better than nothing right?

Anyways I am SUPER excited because NEVER in my life would i dare dream that I would be going to Greece!! This time around it would be a super expensive trip! The most expensive trip in the shortest span of time we have ever spent on so far. Everything there is so bloody expensive. Everything in Santorini that is. I think Athens should be alright but we will only be there for half a day! So much history in Athens I want to learn!! Honestly, I am no big fan of History but Greek History and mythology is just soooo interesting!! Argh! Maybe next time! This time we’re going to relax and enjoy the view at Santorini!

I will TRY to update with pictures of our trip!! WS and I have got this concept we would like to do for the blog but well, it takes time and FOCUS and non-procrastination (I know theres no such word la!) to execute. So keep your fingers and butt cheeks crossed! =P Have a greattttttt weekend!! xoxo

Whoops….Looks like I procrastinated again. =P But I’ve got a really good reason for that! I got so sick during our trip to Paris and it took me 2 1/2 weeks to fully recover from it. :(  I felt myself starting to fall sick in the afternoon on the day we were to leave London for Paris. As usual, I took 2 paracetamols and took a nap, waking up to feel much better. We decided to take a bus down this time as the tickets for Eurostar were insanely priced at £100 one way! The bus ride itself was not too bad, 7 hours on the Bus and another 2 on the Ferry.

Just as we reached Paris early in the morning, the damn fever started again all over again. Once again, I popped 2 pills and headed to bed straight. Felt much better after I woke up and off we went to Trocadero to catch a glimpse of THE Eiffel Tower. It was freezing cold that day so we quickly took some pictures and headed to Champs-Elysées, known as the world’s most beautiful avenue. Sadly, I did not get to enjoy it much as wanted because I started shivering so we thought we would go to Gallery Lafayette which was indoors. After about half an hour at Gallery Lafayette, I started to feel my body burn. It was so cold outside but I felt so hot inside. By the time we headed back to the hotel I was having high fever! I have not been this sick for such a long time and it was such a bad timing. *sigh* I seriously felt like I was about to die!! I was also having this awful sorethroat and could not speak for two whole days! My poor FI had to talk to himself most of the times. Hehe. The next day was spent in the hotel near Disneyland as I was too weak too go anywhere or do anything. Dear FI decided to head out to the Central Paris to take some pictures for me to see. I felt so bad for ruining the holidays for him. :(

Thankfully, I was up and running (forced myself to be better!) after a days rest, and we headed and celebrated our New year’s eve in Disneyland Paris. It was actually our 2nd time there but still just as fun! We got to ride on the new Tower of Terror which i absolutely hate!! You sit in an elevator-like thing which bring you up and down a couple of times!! My poor heart dropped!! I hate rides like these but I just did it to accompany my dear FI. =)

Well it’s a new year now and time really flies!! SIGH!!! I hope to see and blog more…keeping fingers crossed!! My Dad will be here to celebrate Chinese New Years with us! Hooray!! Can’t wait! =)

*ARGH! I finished typing this post but now Wordpress wont let me upload pictures!! URGH!! Will upload them another time….got to cook dinner now for my dahling….!

Airport lights
We say Ibiza (E-Bee-ta), They say Evissa~ Airport Lights…

Hola!!! =) Back from Ibiza~ It was certainly nice to feel the warmth of the sun again. Sure, London has it fair share of sunshine, but NEVER like this. I tried to get a sun kissed tan but failed miserably. :( Was it that the suntan lotion that I put on was just too strong or that I was just too damn fair? Everyone there has such a lovely tan! And for the first time, I actually wanted to get a damn tan. Haha. The hours of lying on the beach was all gone to waste! *hmph* I think I need at least 2 weeks!

Lovely weather!
Oh how I have longed to feel the heat on my skin! No thanks to crappy London weather

Ibiza was one of those places where we thought we could only dream of going back then. If we never had come to London, somehow I don’t think we would be spending our hard earn ringgit for a holiday there. It certainly is a very expensive island! Our accomodation was cheap though!! Highly recommended! Will share that in a post of its own. =)

Chilling on the beach
Chilling on the beach

I have always always loved holidays to the beaches so I definitely enjoyed this one. We did nothing but relaxed and partied for the entire trip. No rushing to see certain spots. Just going wherever we wanted to go and seeing whatever we wanted to see. How I wish we could’ve stayed longer!

As it was summer time, the balearic island was buzzling with tourists! The area where we stayed at, San Antonio, was filled with British tourists. Ibiza town, about 15 minutes by bus ride away on the other hand, seemed to be filled with european tourists…In my own observation anyway. Funny thing is, there were like only 5% of the chinese that we spotted there. Imagine how we stood out from the rest!!

Main Bus Station
Main Bus Station of San Antonio

Travelling Ibiza was made easy as they provided us with frequent bus services. They provide a very useful bus timetable that you can either get from the bus station or the bus driver. Car rental is also available but only worth it if you were travelling in a group. You could also rent bikes and ATVs which WS was so tempted to rent! There are also boats and ferry that will bring you around from the ports. And the best part is, the usual bus services that brings you around during the day, automatically becomes a disco bus by night. I swear they call it the disco bus. Haha. Because of the ever famous huge clubbing scene on the Island, the disco bus mainly operates by dropping tourists at the famous clubs! A one way trip usually costs about 1.55 euro whilst the same trip costs 2.20 euro on the disco bus. Kinda cheap if you ask me. Oh ya, the lines to get on the buses were always long!! So we were always prepared and managed to get a seat most of the time! Hehe.

Food wasn’t exactly cheap., especially if you converted it back to ringgit. Thank god we are earning in pounds! Drinks in the clubs were over the top. Tauseef who joined us from Barcelona ordered a bottle of water at Priviledge and we got a shock of our lives when the girl asked him for 8 euros!! And it wasnt even a 500 ml bottle. It was, my friends, only 250 ml!! You would think it was some sort of holy water promising eternal youth!

Ahh….running out of time here!! Sorry to cut it short….All in all….Despite how expensive it was…I would definitely do it again within a heartbeat. Hopefully the next time we would be able to stay 2 weeks!! Can’t imagine how much thats gonna cost us!! =P More on Ibiza next~

A tough choice………

a-tough-choice

It breaks my heart that we’re not attending Global Gathering UK this year which kicked off last night. :( Line up is damn good for the godskitchen arena today!! :( This was one of the events in UK i have been longing to attend and now I’m throwing that chance out the window?? aRGH! But anyways…we will be there next year for sure!!! I don’t care!! The good news is……. we are heading to……. IBIZA!!!!!!!!!!! Tough choice but we had to make it. We could’ve went for both but the weekend tickets for Global Gathering V.I.P costs £165!! And we did not want to be exhausted by the time we headed to Ibiza. So Ibiza it is! Sun, sea, sand and clubs!! The party capital of the world awaits us!!! :D Will be back with loads of pictures~

In a little town of Ottignies….

The trip to Belgium & Germany was way too short! And so very tiring as we travelled ALOT on trains. Don’t even get me started on Germany. Nevertheless, we enjoyed our time at Belgium and some of our time in Germany. Note: SOME. Haha..but that’s another story for another day. =)

It was only about a 2 hours train’s ride to Brussels from London by Eurostar. The seats were comfy and I like the fact that their seats had this bit jutting out on the sides so you can rest your head on and sleep. Will try to take a picture the next time! Aeroplans should apply the same thing on their seats considering they charge a whole lot more!! and that the travel time is a whole lot longer!!

We were picked up by my aunt and uncle from the train station and was taken on a joyride around town for a sneak peak of Brussels. We got to see Atomium by night and it was beautiful. Funny that after all these years of living in Belgium, it was actually my aunt’s first time seeing it at night. =)

My uncle and aunt lives in a little town, Ottignies, which is about a half an hours drive away from Brussels. We would commute to the city by train which could take more than an hour if we took the damn slow train(!!!) which would stop so many damn times and about 40 minutes if we caught the fast ones.

Yan Yan Restaurant
Their Restaurant and lovely home upstairs

They were nice enough to welcome us into their home for the stay and there was such great hospitality there that it made me miss home and my parents so much. :(  They always made sure we wouldn’t go hungry by preparing sandwiches for us to take on the trains. They drove us to Antwerp for a tour which we thought we would skip due to time constraints. Brought us for ‘dim sum’ at the Chinatown in Antwerp. Bought us little egg tarts and pandan cakes so we would not go hungry after. Bought us oh-so-yummy belgian chocolates!!! And so many other things in which words would not suffice! <3

Family
Very Delicious Steamboat prepared by Aunt & Uncle

Steamboat
Steamboat!! Won ton freshly prepared by my uncle~ And there were 5 different types of Chili dips! We are ‘lat jiu wongs’.. Lol…

Before we left for London, I finally got to see my cousins! When we were alot younger, they would always make their annual trip back to Malaysia. We were pretty close then and would always have a whole lot of fun. The trips to Port Dickson and Bukit Kiara Club and all of us running around my grandma’s house seems like just yesterday. My uncle would always carry us and throw us into the pool over and over and over again. Haha. And he would always do his ‘lou shi’ muscle flex thing with his arm. Lol. But sadly in reality, my grandma’s house is not where it used to be and we no longer make our trips to Bukit Kiara Club or Port Dickson. =( We’re all grown up now and hopefully I would even be hearing wedding bells soon from my cousin! Finally got to meet her boyfriend of 5 years, Fred. =D

The trip was too short and I wish we could’ve stayed longer to spend more time with everyone. But since it’s only 2 hours away, i’m sure our next visit back is pretty soon!! Will blog more about Belgium in the next post as this post is dedicated to my aunt and her family. <3 Au Revoir~

Finally some update ….

finally-some-update

It’s been a while since we last updated this site due to our very tight working schedule, most of the nights i sleep at 1 AM and wake at 6 AM. Funny though, I kinda enjoy it coz i dont feel stressed out at all even though i’m doing 2 jobs. Maybe it’s the ppl here .. lucky for me, i have fantastic colleagues and they make me feel like i’m having fun all the time instead of working. Now i understand why some ppl are so happy and satisfied with their job. Im glad that the ppl that i have met throughout these 7 months have been very friendly , super duper nice and most importantly … genuine =). We come from totally different backgrounds and countries, but everyone is treated EQUAL here. I guess coming here is propably the best decision i have ever made in my entire life, there are so many wonderful places that i could reach easily without worrying about the distance, time and money. This year we plan to travel the whole Europe and hopefully next year we will cover most of the places in United States. I’m planning to get my 1st ever tatoo at Miami Ink !!! Hopefully they will come up with some interesting custom designs instead of those boring tribals.

July will be a crazy month … i mean fucking crazy wicked month. It’s gonna be our 1st summer in Europe and i’m gonna make sure this is gonna be an unforgetable one. First off, on the 5th, we will be heading back to Amsterdam for the 2nd time since February for the biggest dance event in the world, SENSATION WHITE. As reported in the offical forum , all 40,000 tickets were sold out within 1 hr 30mins of the official release time. It was like a warzone with extremely heavy traffic on the website and telephone line.It blardy took me 45 mins to have finally secured 4 tickets.

The theme for this year is ‘Ocean Of White’ (Topless Mermaids ? =)~ ), and as the event name suggests, everyone has to be dressed in white in order to get in. I think its a good mixture of house and trance music coz u get alot of ‘nice & pretty’ crowd from all over the world. We will be going with Richard and Kim, meeting Tauseef, Omar and another friend where they will begin their Euro trip after the party at Amsterdam Arena. Play the trailer below now!

Coming middle of the month, we will head down to Brussels, Belgium to visit one my Jolyne’s relatives for a couple of days. From there, we are gonna take a train to Dortmund, Germany for Love Parade 2008 “Highway to Love”. This event is VERY massive … as in 1.2 MILLION people attended the previous one.  Club and Event promoters will have their selected DJs to pump out musics from the floats along the street to promote thier names. Check the video below for Tiesto’s set, it was amazing when it happened in Berlin. I need to arrange a good meeting point with Tauseef, it’s gonna be sooooo damn packed.

End of July will be a relax and party summer break. WE ARE GOING TO IBIZA !!! Shame that we are gonna miss Global Gathering coz our flight is scheduled on Saturday night itself. Well, nothing to be sad of actually hehe coz we gonna catch Tiesto live @ Privilege (world’s biggest club) on Monday night and Armin Van Buuren @ Amnesia on Tuesday night.

We will be going to the legendary Pacha on Sunday night and enjoy the beautiful sunset with chill out background music everyday @ Cafe Del Mar. Can’t wait …Can’t waittt. Tauseef and friends are gonna be taking a boat from Valencia, Spain to Ibiza Island. I guess this will be our last time partying together till we meet again in South Africa for World Cup 2010 !
