Phewww….that’s quite a lot of pictures! Anyways, new year, new resolutions??? I don’t really believe in them therefore no new year’s resolutions for me. The past 2 years have been the greatest of my life!! I have experienced and seen so much and I can only hope that there will be more to come in 2010!!! Life is indeed short and I think if there is something you want to do, just do it!!! Don’t wait around to get approval or to wait for someone to join you because before you know it, you’ve missed the chance!! How’s that for a new year’s resolution? Happy New Year everyone!!!!!!!!!!! *raises glasses* xxxxxx

That being said, its started to snow once again today and is STILL snowing!! I love the snow and all but can it please wait till my mum and fatty arrives here first!!! Urgh!! If all goes well we’ll be playing in snow tomorrow!! Yey!!! And I can sing ‘Let it snow, let it snow!!! Will take some pictures of the pretty snow tomorrow morning!!! We headed for a little surprise dinner I planned out for WS after but more of that in the next post!! For now, I need to get some beauty sleep and energy for Swedish House Mafia tonight @ O2 Brixton Academy!!!! YEAHHH!!!!! Been waiting for over a month now for this event and I am so excited!!!!! I had made reservations at Nobu almost 1 month in advance to avoid it being fully booked. I knew he had always wanted to try Nobu, hence I figured this was the perfect chance. I was a little worried though because there was so much mixed reviews about Nobu. People seemed to either loved it or hated it and most weren’t good reviews. Zuma was ultimately my other choice but it was even harder to get a table there by the time I made up my mind. I must say though that Nobu was quite good. VERY expensive but good. Many people have complained about how expensive the place is but what do you expect?? I don’t get people sometimes, don’t they check out the menu and prices at the website before deciding to go? They must know that it would be expensive! I know I did.

As you step in Nobu, there is a reception counter on your left where you would give your name for reservation and leave your coat for the cloakroom. Ahead would be a bar area where you can grab drinks before/after your dinner upstairs. You would be lead upstairs where there are two separate dining areas. I did not peek into the other area but they had a sushi counter where you could sit on the counter and chat/watch the Japanese chefs prepare your meal just like the ones in Japan. As you step upstairs, dont be alarmed as they will be shouting pretty loudly “Irashaimase”!, welcoming you to the restaurant. Haha…I bet it was pretty awkward for a few people but its just a common thing/tradition that happens in most restaurants in Japan?

Service was very attentive and food was great. I liked how there is a spotlight in the middle of the table because I had to take pictures without flash and god knows how hard it would have been if there were were no light around. I probably wouldn’t have taken any good pictures considering how “classy” the place was if it weren’t for that spotlight!! I wouldn’t want to be flashing every now and then and having people stare at me. Haha!

What I did not like was the table we were seated at, which was at a corner table right beside the counter where the waiters and waitresses would gather to punch in your orders or take the menu from. Hence there was always a busy bunch of staff at our side during our dinner. Sure, it was easy to order something if you ever needed it but I want a little privacy!! :p So next time you make a reservation be sure to specify where you want to be seated!!

Soft Shell Crab Rolls (£9.00)....pretty good!

New Style Salmon Sashimi (£12:50)...on the right...I forgot to take a shot of it....portion was small and slices were very thin....didn't do much for me...Give me FAT JUICY CHUNKY sashimi!!!

Black Cod in Miso (£32 !!!)...Better than sex good but a lil overpriced! & Rice (£2.50)

Crispy Pork Belly with Spicy Miso (£12.50)....Loved the crackly crispy skin!

Lychee Martini (£12.00) which is much better than any I have taste in Malaysia

Chocolate Bento Box (£9.50) - Green Tea Ice Cream & Hot Molten Cake...very sweet!

WS and his After Hatchi (£9.50) - Mint Brulee with Shisho Ice cream & Frozen Chocolate

The bill came to about £115 inclusive of service and the 3 cups of green tea which we ordered was surprisingly free! A 500 ml bottle of “holy” Fiji water is £5 i think therefore we were smart to avoid it! :p Unfortunately, there was no celebrity sightings for us that night! Maybe better luck next time? Heh! God I miss the food in Japan..hopefully we will be back there soon enough. As for Nobu, I think we’ll try other Japanese restaurants before deciding if we’ll ever head back.

I am going to start writing at least once a week now and hopefully more in time. Yes, I know i’ve said it before but this time WS had wanted to stop paying for the server so I had to pay for it myself this time!! And I guess you realize not to take things for granted when it comes from your own pocket! Haha..

Anyway, summer has come and gone, and we too have come and gone. We were back in Malaysia for two months to get the visa sorted out. I had no hope of coming back to London knowing how strict the British high comm is but I guess with a little luck on our side, we made it through! *phew* It was a good two months back home though, after being away for nearly two years!! I now miss the food…and family….and friends……..and FOOD!!!!!! But nevertheless, we plan to make London our new home!

Anyways I am SUPER excited because NEVER in my life would i dare dream that I would be going to Greece!! This time around it would be a super expensive trip! The most expensive trip in the shortest span of time we have ever spent on so far. Everything there is so bloody expensive. Everything in Santorini that is. I think Athens should be alright but we will only be there for half a day! So much history in Athens I want to learn!! Honestly, I am no big fan of History but Greek History and mythology is just soooo interesting!! Argh! Maybe next time! This time we’re going to relax and enjoy the view at Santorini!

I will TRY to update with pictures of our trip!! WS and I have got this concept we would like to do for the blog but well, it takes time and FOCUS and non-procrastination (I know theres no such word la!) to execute. So keep your fingers and butt cheeks crossed! =P Have a greattttttt weekend!! xoxo

Anyways, winter has now come and gone and the weather has been nothing but wonderful for the past week. It really makes me feel ling singing and dancing all day. I may or may not have a long time to go here in London, so I am trying to make the most of my time here. Going to all the places I have always wanted to go, eating all the thing I have always wanted to eat, doing and seeing all the things I have always wanted to do and see. Althought it does boils down to me spending money.

I now have alot of time in my hands, maybe a lil too much, but i’m loving it! So no taking time/things for granted no more. I hope to blog a lil each week and this is a small step to it…

Just as we reached Paris early in the morning, the damn fever started again all over again. Once again, I popped 2 pills and headed to bed straight. Felt much better after I woke up and off we went to Trocadero to catch a glimpse of THE Eiffel Tower. It was freezing cold that day so we quickly took some pictures and headed to Champs-Elysées, known as the world’s most beautiful avenue. Sadly, I did not get to enjoy it much as wanted because I started shivering so we thought we would go to Gallery Lafayette which was indoors. After about half an hour at Gallery Lafayette, I started to feel my body burn. It was so cold outside but I felt so hot inside. By the time we headed back to the hotel I was having high fever! I have not been this sick for such a long time and it was such a bad timing. *sigh* I seriously felt like I was about to die!! I was also having this awful sorethroat and could not speak for two whole days! My poor FI had to talk to himself most of the times. Hehe. The next day was spent in the hotel near Disneyland as I was too weak too go anywhere or do anything. Dear FI decided to head out to the Central Paris to take some pictures for me to see. I felt so bad for ruining the holidays for him.

Thankfully, I was up and running (forced myself to be better!) after a days rest, and we headed and celebrated our New year’s eve in Disneyland Paris. It was actually our 2nd time there but still just as fun! We got to ride on the new Tower of Terror which i absolutely hate!! You sit in an elevator-like thing which bring you up and down a couple of times!! My poor heart dropped!! I hate rides like these but I just did it to accompany my dear FI. =)

Well it’s a new year now and time really flies!! SIGH!!! I hope to see and blog more…keeping fingers crossed!! My Dad will be here to celebrate Chinese New Years with us! Hooray!! Can’t wait! =)

*ARGH! I finished typing this post but now Wordpress wont let me upload pictures!! URGH!! Will upload them another time….got to cook dinner now for my dahling….!

I can’t wait till boxing day!!! I am usually very very stingy when it comes to spending…hahaha…. seriously!! Ask my dear FI!! But all these sales happening around is making me wanna spend! Urgh!! Luckily it only happens once a year!! Somehow I am also slowly turning into a shoe-paholic!! Help! It must be all these years of me depriving myself of shoes! =P The shoes here are all so pretty unlike the stupid shoes at Vincci back home. Lol. But the price tags are also very ‘nice’. Sigh!

As for new years, we will be heading to Paris!! This will be our second time there so nothing really new for us. I am still excited though cause it’s a break for us after all the work at our jobs! =) Anyways, I will end here with me sharing window displays of Selfridges, Oxford Street with you. Will try to take more picture of Oxford Street this week~
